Last week our Plainview NY team finished a project at a new construction residential building in an up-and-coming part of Brooklyn.
This new development is a two-tower building along Newtown Creek in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The project consists of a 40-story, 298-unit tower and a 30-story, 222-unit adjacent tower, connected by a shared seven-story podium. The 811,000-square-foot property will yield 200 affordable housing units and a 300-vehicle parking garage below grade.
The 40-story tower will stand closer to Newtown Creek and feature a rectangular massing with the broad side facing the water. The 30-story tower will rise perpendicular to it, with its narrow elevations facing east and west. Both pinnacles are shown in the axonometric diagram below with several shallow setbacks on all four sides.
A motor courtyard entryway will be positioned on the southeastern corner of the podium as shown in renderings provided by the developer.
Our team sourced and secured two large Generac Power Systems natural gas 300kW generators to be delivered to the site with a shorter lead time than anyone else.
Our sales team and project managers led this project from the first phone call until both units were delivered and installed properly onsite.
Check out the video recap of the rigging and installation below.

In the United States, the EPA has created what is known as the Air Quality Index which measures and reports on air quality. While the intention of the Air Quality Index (AQI) when it was initially developed was to protect the general public from hazardous levels of pollutants that may be present in the ozone, the AQI has since been expanded to govern the use of emergency backup power generators.
